We all know that our canine friends love their playtime and walks and these help maintain a healthy and happy dog! Puppy Dog Hotel understands though that it is not always possible for owners to meet the needs of their dog(s) in relation to walks. This can be for a variety of reasons such as Work, Business commitments, Hospital appointments, Weddings, Funerals, Family get together, Illness or even an extended shopping trip!

Puppy Dog Hotel now offers a premier dog walking service to cover your needs; we can walk your dog locally or transport it to one of the beautiful locations such as woodland, meadows or fields that we use at Puppy Dog Hotel. We will tailor the walk to each individual dogs needs, old or young, whether this be on lead or off lead. We can collect the dog from you or we can hold your house key if required to let ourselves in if you need us to.

Walks last around 60 minutes from the point of collection and can be arranged on a regular basis or in the event of an emergency, and can be booked for weekdays, weekends or for a weekly period. Puppy Dog Hotel will only use experienced staff and they will not walk more than two dogs for each handler during walks, unlike many dog walking services that walk

multiple dogs per handler during a walk, this is unsafe and in some cases may even be illegal. Puppy Dog Hotel is fully licensed by Chiltern District Council and Insured. Vet checked and recommended by several veterinary practices.

Puppy Dog Hotel only allows our staff to walk a maximum of two dogs at a time (After all they only have two hands), this allows the handler to have control of the dogs in their care. Many other 'Dog Walking' services walk multiple dogs at a time to keep costs low, sometimes walking 3-6 dogs per handler and sometimes even more! Puppy Dog Hotel consider this practice unsafe for both our staff and the dogs in their care. Another reason Puppy Dog Hotel does not 'Group' walk dogs like many other dog walking services is that often your dog will spend a considerable amount of time in a crate in the back of a car/van whilst the other dogs due to go on the walk are collected or returned to their home, again Puppy Dog Hotel feel this is not acceptable.

Things to Check:

• How many dogs are walked at a time?

• How long will my dog be in a car/van for and with how many other dogs?

• Check references.

• How long has the business been operating and what experience do they and their staff have?

• Does the handler have experience of your breed of dog, puppies and older dogs, often the needs and level of exercise required varies?

• Have they taken details about your dog(s)/puppies?

• Is the business Licensed and Insured?

• Are staff trained in canine emergency first aid?
