Holiday Cover &

Residential Training:

Dogs or puppies that we have previously assessed and offered to add to our client list may secure dates immediately by telephone, text or e-mail. A payment of a 20% deposit made within the time frame of our confirmation letter to reserve the dates

New Clients must visit for an initial assessment with their Dogs or Puppies before any dates can be reserved, we never reserve dates until an assessment has been completed and we agree to add your dog(s) or puppy to our client list. More importantly you, any family members and your dog or puppy get to check us out too! All our canine guests need to be fully vaccinated, including kennel cough vaccine as required by Buckinghamshire – DEFRA legislation before they can stay for overnight or day care.

Overnight bookings:

Due to the very high level of love, knowledge and care we tend to get booked several months (9-12 months) in advance for School holidays, Christmas, New Year and Easter. However, it is always worth a phone call to check current availability as we may have had a cancellation. Outside these dates it is still normally required to book around 6-10 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. Again though it is always worth a phone call to check availability.

Day care:

Day care is available to book in advance for most dates. However during certain busy periods day care is only available to book the week before if there is a space. Day care is for a maximum of nine hours and includes one walk during the day. Earliest drop off is 8pm with latest collection 8pm. Food, medication, supplements etc must be supplied. Due to current demand this service is only available to clients who use Puppy Dog Hotel for their holidays.

VIP Service (Very Important Pooch):

Our VIP service is available for clients who require guaranteed overnight care for either prolonged periods of cover or at short notice. All our guests receive the very best love and care whether they stay for holidays or day care. However the VIP service offers clients the chance to add additional bespoke services to suit their needs. There is a minimum period of three consecutive months booking period to obtain the VIP service. There is no maximum period of booking. VIP service is also available to clients with more than one dog. Residential Training:

Visiting 1 to 1 Training:

One of our most popular services is the 1 to 1 visiting Training sessions with clients at their home. This allows us to demonstrate how you would need to proceed in training your dog or puppy using voice, hand and whistle commands. In addition to training you will also be advised on dietary needs, grooming, veterinary checks, advice on having your dog or puppy spayed or castrated and the pros and cons. We will demonstrate training procedures using your own dog or puppy and you will then be given the opportunity to have a go too. We will show you how to get your dog or puppy to do the following using either voice, hand or whistle commands: Toileting on command, Sit, Lay Down, Stand, Recall, Walking to heel on a lead, Sitting automatically if you stop at a kerb or to talk with someone. Sit automatically if the lead is accidentally dropped. Not jumping up, to stop mouthing (Puppies), Not to fidget whilst being groomed, to allow a vet to check over, including teeth, eyes, nose, paws, claws, body and genital areas without fidgeting.  The amount of information that is given during the sessions often make these a more reliable method of training a Dog or Puppy rather than group classes. It is often the owner who needs the training! Many of our clients use this option in addition to using our residential training as this also gives them to continue with their dog or puppy using the exact methods their dog or puppy has learnt at Puppy Dog Hotel. Please Remember: It is vital that whatever level of training a dog or puppy has it is vital that the owners maintain the routines and be CONSISTENT as a family, if not even the best trained dogs will start to take advantage and may lose all they have learnt!

 A full days session is recommended, this will allow us to assess both the Dog or Puppy and the owner! Many Clients book this service before the new Dog or Puppy arrives home. We can also address any questions or queries Clients have. We are always happy to offer advice and suggest items that should be purchased before the Dog or Puppy arrives. We are always happy to offer Clients further telephone advice should they require this after we have previously advised on Dog or Puppy Training. Please remember that having trained UK Assistance Dogs for over 15 years our training is to a very high standard. You how to proceed to achieve a positive outcome. We can offer both weekend and evening appointments if required for an additional fee.
